The long-tailed bird molded in two symmetric halves and joined at the center, the body chased and embossed with detailed feathers, standing atop a large peach and further raised on an s-shape curve extending to a long flat pin.

立在桃子上的一只長尾鳥，鳥身用两枚金片打造，合在一起，鳥足焊在桃枝，簪脚接于桃心。按揚之水，故宫博物院藏宋人《绣羽鸣春图》册页，两相对照，仿佛金簪画样。绣羽是练鹊，今名寿带鸟。“练鹊锦袍仙使，有青娥传梦，月转参移”。
