Worked in polychrome threads with nine writhing five-clawed dragons chasing flaming pearls against a ground of flying cranes, ruyi clouds and ribbon-tied auspicious objects, all
above two bats suspending flower-filled baskets and foaming and rolling waves and the undulating lishui stripe.
Height 53 in., 134.6 cm.
Property from the University of Arizona Museum of Art, sold to benefit the acquisitions and collections care fund.
