First edition. 8vo. 508; 373, (1), 146 pp. Illustrated with an engraved portrait frontispiece of William Penn in first volume, and large folding map opposite title-page in second volume ("A Map of Pennsylvania Delaware New Jersey & Maryland, With the Parts Adjacent"), with four-inch closed tear. Full contemporary tree calf, stamped in gilt, red morroco spine labels; all edges trimmed; light to moderate foxing in each volume. Contemporary ownership signature of George Massey, 1799, on recto of first free leaf in both volumes; book-plate of George Gordon Massey in first volume; pencil notation, "Geo. V.
