Lot Description
A Chinese Hardwood Canopy, Babuchuang QING DYNASTY (1644-1911) the wide rectangular mitered frame with a soft-mat sleeping surface above a rectangular base, the six square section and beaded edged posts joined with five openworked panels of swastika design, the posts also joined at the top by reticulated top panels and a lattice-work canopy, all raised above a large rectangular base, the entrance connected to the bed by four reticulated panels decorated with swastika design, the top section comprising three openworked panels carved with a floral pattern above spandrels with similar designs ending in lotus stem-form terminals. Height 101 1/2 x width 94 x depth 74 inches.
