A Chinese Bronze Covered Censer
17TH/18TH CENTURY
of fang ding form, the rectangular body with rounded corners having large dragon handles surmounting a liftoff cover with openworked scrolling lotus design and a Buddhist lion finial, raised on lion mask capped legs and a matching hardwood stand, the censer bearing an impressed six-character Xuande mark to the underside.
Height 17 inches.
