A Chinese Apple Green and Lavender Jadeite 'Phoenix' Covered Gong Vessel, Late 19th-20th Century

Late 19th/20th Century
Raised on a pedestal foot of rounded rectangular section and carved as an archaistic bronze ewer, gong; the handle, and finial are carved in openwork as archaistic phoenixes, the semi-translucent stone of pale lavender color with some apple green areas.
Height of vessel 4 3/4 in., 12 cm.
