A Chinese Pale Celadon Jade Figure of a Recumbent Buffalo, Qing Dynasty

Qing Dynasty (1644-1911)
The buffalo carved with its legs tucked beneath its body and its tail swept to the side of the left haunch. The hooves are carved to the underside with detailed grooves. The stone is of an even pale celadon tone, set atop a fitted hardwood stand.
