[CIVIL WAR]. POWELL, W.H., artist. Medical team tending to a wounded soldier. 

Visible 10 1/2 x 8 3/8 in. oil painting; framed to 15 1/2 x 13 3/4 in. (period frame). Signed "W.H. Powell" to lower right.
 
At the foreground is a wounded private, his firearm on the ground, who is attended to by two medical officers wearing kepis. Behind them is a medical wagon with a team of four houses and attended by two other medical personally. Another figure is visible on horseback in the distance.
