Lefever Arms Company B Grade 10 Gauge SxS Shotgun
10 Gauge. 29.875" barrel length. SN: 9562. 3" chamber length. Modified chokes. Blued metal finish with color casehardened frame set in a walnut semi-pistol grip stock with splinter forend and bordered checkering mounting an aftermarket recoil pad. Double barrel boxlock hammerless extractor sideplate shotgun with bead front sight on a matted barrel rib. The trigger plate displays patent markings PAT 72-78-80-85. with both sideplates struck LEFEVER ARMS CO. within spiral scroll enclosed banners. Each cocking indicator is enclosed with engraved vignettes of hunting dogs with the sideplate screws displaying sunburst scrollwork. Barrel fences exhibit a Fleur de Lis motif with engraving carrying over the rear edges of the barrels and on the doll's head extension. The Damascus steel barrels are engraved LEFEVER ARMS CO. MAKERS & PATENTEES SYRACUSE. N.Y. Watertables exhibit a B grade marking, and the serial numbers match on all major components. Muzzle retains engraved border scroll at the forward edge of the rib. Forend and butt both show signs of refinishing with the metal parts of the forend enclosed in varnish. Item mounts a golden shield plate to the toe, and a spiral scroll five pointed star to the forend button latch.

Condition Report
Good. Bores are Very Bright. Case colored finish is worn to silver on the frame with some gray patina and strong details. Some traces of blue remain under the barrel flats with the barrels showing primarily gray patina with scattered brown flecks. Stock shows handling wear, mars, and some dents, along with signs of refinishing and varnish. The aftermarket recoil pad has shrunk and hardened in place. Action locks up tightly on face with the lever resting slightly left of center.
